Payment total discrepancies for brides? Learn how to address mismatches between payment terms and actual amounts for accurate calculations.

Updated over a week ago

If you're experiencing issues where payment amounts for brides aren't totalling correctly, here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

If a bride's payment terms differ from what you entered in your settings, you will need to manually* adjust the payment amounts to reflect the payment breakdowns for this particular bride.

For instance, if your standard payment terms include a £50 deposit deducted from the final balance, but you've taken a £75 deposit for a particular bride, manually deduct the extra £25 from the final balance.

To update payment amounts, click on the three dots at the end of the payment line, modify the amount accordingly, and save the changes, see below for example.

* While we aim for automation, the system calculates based on the entered data. Thus, any deviations from standard terms, that you entered in your settings, require manual adjustments to ensure accurate calculations.

Example

This user's payment terms, in the settings, are set to a £50 deposit, but for this particular bride the user has manually changed the deposit amount to £75.

This now means that the payment total is £25 higher than the services total.

To amend the final balance, and manually reduce this by £25, click the 3 dots circled.

Enter the new balance (£400 minus the £25 = £375) and click save.

If you click the 'red banner' at the top, it will revert the calculations back to what you entered in your settings.

When changed manually, the payment amount now matches the service amount.
